Happy...Tuesday? I don’t usually get to say that, but it’s a special occasion: Emerging Tech Brew teamed up with Retail Brew to release our latest guide—this time on all things virtual fitting room tech.

Why? Well...who among us hasn’t tried on a pair of pants (or 20) in a dressing room, looked in the mirror, and said, “Nope.” And who among us has not wished they could do the same with an online purchase?

Enter: Virtual fitting room technology. Since at least 2010, companies have been working on some form of tech that would allow users to “try on” clothing from their homes.

Interest in this tech has surged as e-comm has grown in popularity, with retailers like Walmart and Gap investing in it, and tech companies large (like Pinterest, Instagram, and Snap) and small (like Unspun or NetVirta) rolling out solutions of their own.
